N.A. Barnes

Founder

N.A. Barnes, CEO, has been an entrepreneur for more than 40 years and brings over 50 years of experience to his team. First starting in the textiles industry, he quickly adapted to contract management and eventually landed in the world of background checks and drug testing.

Michael Barnes

President

Michael joined Unique Background Solutions in October of 2005 as a principal owner and VP of Sales and Marketing. He works with for-profit companies as well as many local and national non-profit organizations with a variety of screening services from employees to volunteers.

Amy Sparks

VP Business Development & HR

Amy graduated in 1990 from Meredith College with a BS in Marketing and has over 24 years of experience in sales and account management in Commercial Insurance, Real Estate and Consumer Product Industries.

Kelley Carlisle

CFO

Kelley teamed up with N.A. Barnes in 1995 in the meter reading and payment center business for Duke Power, where she was responsible for payroll and accounting functions. She officially joined the staff of Unique Background Solutions in 2006 during the company’s inception.
